Catherine Madera is a lifelong horse woman and a published writer since 2004, where she began her journey creating first-person inspirational stories for magazines and anthologies. With her extensive experience in horse writing, she later took on the role of editor for a regional horse magazine, The Northwest Horse Source, and co-authored a manual on equine facilitated learning titled The Listening Heart with Leigh Shambo. In 2012, Catherine was honored with the Merial Human-Animal Bond Award from American Horse Publications for her article A Hero’s Work. She has also penned four horse related novels, and her first book aimed at young adult fiction is currently in production with Morgan James Publishing.
